Job Overview

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and certified DG Documentation Officer to join our Dubai operations. This role is critical in ensuring all Dangerous Goods shipments comply with IATA and GCAA regulations, from documentation to labeling and repack approvals for both air and sea freight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and verify Shipper’s Declaration for Dangerous Goods (DGD) as per IATA standards
  • Ensure all cargo is properly labeled, marked, and packaged as per UN and airline regulations
  • Coordinate with ground handling agents and carriers for DG cargo acceptance
  • Oversee repacking and segregation of incompatible materials
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of GCAA CAR Part VI Chapter 2 and IATA DGR (latest edition)
  • Liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth documentation flow
  • Assist in audits and ensure 100% compliance with safety regulations

Qualifications & Skills:

  • IATA Dangerous Goods Certification (mandatory)
  • GCAA-approved DG training (preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in DG logistics documentation
  • Strong knowledge of air cargo and sea freight processes
  • Proficient in DG handling software and documentation tools
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under tight timelines
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
